Doctor of Self-Worth

Why would you use Prompting/Probing questions? They can change lives. Listen carefully, because the quality of your communication will enrich lives or otherwise.

Let me explain. Use clues to help people answer questions or correct initial inaccurate responses if your intuition tells you so. It usually involves a rewording of the original question.

Probing questions are for expanding or getting more details about the initial response. They may be used for clarification.

So how have these questions changed lives today?
I was taken to visit a mentally impaired institution today with the help of my hero, Dr Reverend Samuel where there were about 20 mentally impaired kids. I asked the carers what they needed so I could buy them. They said they receive everything through a sponsor and they are OK.

I probed with this question:
What would increase the quality of your work or the quality of educating the kids?
The answer came very clear, right?

“All the plastic chairs they have been provided with would not fit under the tables, because they have too high armrests. The kids cannot reach the table properly to draw, write or participate in activities.”

I instantly knew what they needed. I measured the two tables so I knew the numbers.
I purchased 6 good-looking chairs without armrests that I donated within 6 hours.

We also brought some colour into the classrooms.
Another project was done before I jumped on a bus to the Hill Stations in India.

Here is the whole post on Facebook. Like the page and support it! It only takes to visit and orphanage give what you can and share the experience on my page.
